Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 September 2026. Also read our Terms of Use.

The short version

  • We only collect what you type into our contact form: your name, email, phone number and why you're reaching out.
  • We use it to reply to you and, if you're an artist or organizer, to help set up gigs.
  • We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to ankush@artistforgigs.com.

1.Who we are

Artist for Gigs (artistforgigs.com) is run by Developmental Era, a sole proprietorship owned by Ankush Srivastava and registered as a micro enterprise with the Ministry of MSME (Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-MH-33-0801907). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Developmental Era.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2.What we collect

Data you give us

When you use the "Contact us" form, we collect:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number
  • the reason you're reaching out (for example, joining as an artist, looking for artists, or an internship)

If you then work with us as an artist or organizer, we may also collect details you share by email, phone or messaging, such as your art form, city, portfolio links, event details and payment details needed to settle a gig.

Data collected automatically

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) to keep the site running and secure.

3.Why we use it

We use your personal data only to:

  • reply to your enquiry
  • onboard you as an artist or set you up as an organizer
  • match artists with events and coordinate bookings
  • process and settle payments for gigs
  • consider internship applications
  • meet our legal and tax obligations

We process this data based on the consent you give when you tick the box on our contact form, and, where you book or perform through us, to carry out that arrangement. We will not use your data for any purpose you haven't been told about without asking you first.

4.Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run the site. Our contact form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), our website is hosted by Hostinger, and our email runs through our email provider. They handle your data only to provide their service to us.
  • Artists and organizers, for a booking. When we set up a gig, we share the contact and event details needed for it to happen, and only with the people involved in that booking.
  • When the law requires it. If a court, government authority or law enforcement agency lawfully asks for it.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we rely on providers that follow reasonable security practices.

5.How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for. Enquiries that don't lead to working together are deleted within 12 months. If you work with us as an artist or organizer, we keep your records for as long as that relationship continues, and longer only where tax or other laws require us to.

6.Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it
  • ask us to delete it
  • withdraw your consent (this won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but we may no longer be able to work with you)
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
  • raise a grievance with us

To do any of this, email ankush@artistforgigs.com. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7.Children

Artist for Gigs is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian of a young artist who wants to work with us, please get in touch yourself, and we will only proceed with your verifiable consent. If we learn we have collected a minor's data without it, we will delete it.

8.How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe, including using a secure (HTTPS) connection on this website and limiting access to your data to the people who need it to work with you. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

9.Cookies and other websites

We don't set cookies of our own. This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads. Links on this site to other websites, such as Instagram, are governed by those websites' own privacy policies.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will tell you directly where we can.
